Careers with Special Care Services

Currently seeking compassionate, professional caregivers to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities and medical issues (such as feeding tubes, multiple medications, diabetes, seizure disorders, procedures) in client homes.


Special Care is a  team-oriented, local agency, serving North Bay Regional Centers' disabled clients Supported Living Services. Our philosophy is one of person-centered care and doing “whatever it takes” to provide the optimal health, safety, and quality of life for each client in their own home whenever possible.

Duties include: supporting clients in activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs and blood sugar, medication preparation and administration, meal prep and feeding assistance, G-Tube feeding, monitoring for seizure activity, assisting with toileting, dressing, and bathing, transporting clients to medical appointments and outings, providing comfort and companionship, cleaning and household duties. Additional duties based on client needs.


Ideal candidates  must have caregiving experience, reliable transportation with valid driver’s license, registration and  insurance, DMV clearance, CPR and First Aid certification, current flu vaccine and TB clearance, pass criminal, FBI and DOJ background check, and be a trained and current provider with Solano County In Home Support Services (IHSS) prior to working with clients.

Part time, full time, and on call positions currently available.

Shifts: afternoon/evening and overnight.

Possibility to move into Full Time, benefited position upon completion of 90-day probationary period. 

Benefits for eligible full-time staff include:

C.P.I. training, health, dental, life, and vision insurance, sick and vacation time, and IRA retirement program.

Caregivers with current certification as a CNA, HHA, Registered Behavioral Tech or Special Education paraprofessional, AND at least one year of direct caregiving experience are strongly preferred. A differential will be paid for current licensure or certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: Start $16.00 to $17 /hour . Vacation accrual begins after 1 year

Work Location:

  • Multiple locations in Solano County

  • 8-hour shifts, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, (all awake hours)
